Overall goal


Es handelt sich um ein Teilprojekt im Rahmen des "Integrated Rural Development Projects" in der Region Derra im äthiopischen Hochland von Menschen für Menschen. Das Projekt hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die Stellung der Frauen zu verbessern sowie schädliche Traditionen zu bekämpfen. Die sozio-ökonomische Stellung wird sowohl in der Familie als auch in der Gesellschaft gestärkt. . Gleichzeitig wird über die Besserstellung der Frauen die Armut im allgemeinen bekämpft, da Frauen t wesentliche Armutsträger in Äthiopien sind. Ebenfalls sollen schädliche Traditionen, unter denen im wesentlichen der weibliche Teil der Bevölkerung leidet - wie Frauenbeschneidung, Frühverheiratung - bekämpft werden. Die hygienischen Bedingungen und die Hauswirtschaft sollen verbessert werden.


Primäre Zielgruppe sind die Frauen und Mädchen der Region. Der weibliche Anteil der Bevölkerung beträgt etwa 50 %. Indirekt profitiert jedoch die gesamte Bevölkerung von den von Menschen für Menschen geplanten Maßnahmen, denn aus den oben genannten Gründen sind Frauen wesentliche Armutsträger. Dieser negative Kreislauf soll durchbrochen werden.

Geplant sind zahlreiche Maßnahmen im Bereich Aufklärung, Kapazitätsbildung, Schulung sowie Verbesserung der Lebens- und Arbeitsbedingungen sowie der Einkommenssituation durch einkommenschaffende Maßnahmen.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
