Overall goal


Öko Himal ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein mit Sitz in Salzburg/Österreich und Kathmandu/Nepal. Der Verein arbeitet vorwiegend mit lokalen Basisinitiativen im Himalaya zusammen, um die Lebensbedingungen der Bevölkerung in abgelegenen Regionen zu verbessern. Seit September 2004 bringt Öko Himal seine langjährige Erfahrung in den Ländern des Südens auch in ein entwicklungspolitisches Bildungs-projekt für SchülerInnen und LehrerInnen in Österreich, dem Bildungsportal www.8goals4future.at, ein.


Die Grundidee dieses Projekts besteht darin, die Millenniumsentwicklungsziele der Vereinten Nationen anhand von Projektbeispielen aus Partnerländern der privaten und staatlichen Österreichischen Entwicklungszusammenarbeit praxisnahe und mit Hilfe Neuer Medien für SchülerInnen und LehrerInnen aufzubereiten. www.8goals4future.at stellt seit September 2004 eine eigenständige und umfangreiche multimediale Ressourcensammlung dazu dar. Der gegenständliche Projektantrag bietet eine Erweiterung der Website. Ziel ist es einerseits die NutzerInnen verstärkt an die Website zu binden, andererseits wird in der aktuellen 3. Projektphase neben der inhaltlichen Betreuung (Aktualisierungen, Ergänzungen) auch die neue Zielgruppe der VolksschülerInnen berücksichtigt.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 41.460,00 in der Höhe von EUR 18.000,00 (43,42%) gefördert.


Das BMUKK fördert dieses Projekt mit EUR 15.000,00.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
