Overall goal


Aufgrund des Konflikts mit der LRA in Norduganda hat sich die humanitäre Situation für die Bevölkerung drastisch verschlechtert. Gegenüber dem Vorjahr sind doppelt so viele Menschen in der Region betroffen. Laut Aussendungen von Internationalen Organisationen ist die Versorgungslage besorgniserregend; es mangelt insbesondere an Wasser, Nahrung, Gesundheitsversorgung und Bildung.


Durch einen österreichischen Beitrag für das IKRK Nothilfsprogramm werden Hilfs- und Schutzmassnahmen für die betroffene Bevölkerung unterstützt. Die Ziele des Nothilfsprogramms umfassen eine Verbesserung der Lebensbedingungen für IDPs in Gulu und Kitgum durch die Bereitstellung und Verteilung von Grundnahrungsmitteln und Haushaltsgütern, den verbesserten Zugang zu Wasser durch 60 Wasserverteilungspunkte und durch die Reparatur von Handpumpen, sowie Aktivitäten zur Reintegration von Kindersoldaten und die Bereitstelllung von medizinischer Versorgung von Verwundeten und Kranken.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
