Overall goal


Der zentrale Arbeitsbereich von BAOBAB ist die Bibliothek Globales Lernen (in der C3-Bibliothek für Entwicklungspolitik) mit einem Bestand von ca. 8.000 Medien.

Die bundesweiten Basisdienstleistungen umfassen Recherche, Beschaffung, Erfassung und Verleih von pädagogischen Materialien für die schulische und außerschulische Bildungsarbeit, die Bereitstellung von Unterrichtshilfen und didaktischen Tipps sowie Beratung zur Umsetzung von Globalem Lernen in der Bildungsarbeit.

Die von allen C3-Organisationen gemeinsam getragene Veranstaltungsreihe ‚Bildung im C3ntrum‘ bietet Vorträge und Diskussionen zu relevanten entwicklungspolitischen Themen für eine breite Öffentlichkeit.


BAOBAB koordiniert den Verbund entwicklungspolitischer Bibliotheken zum Globalen Lernen und ist für die Pflege, Kontrolle und Weiterentwicklung des Online-Katalogs zuständig, der den österreichweiten Bestand von 9 Bibliotheken erfasst.


Die Weltbilder-Medienstelle macht Filme zu globalen Themen für die Bildungsarbeit zugänglich. Hauptaktivitäten: Produktion, Verleih und Vertrieb von DVDs zu entwicklungspolitischen Themen, Erstellung von Begleitmaterialien, Öffentlichkeitsarbeit über Infodienste und Internet.


Resultate:

- Bibliotheksbetrieb (mit Frauensolidarität und ÖFSE): jährlich 200 Öffnungstage, 10.000 BesucherInnen, 18.000 Entlehnungen (8.000 aus dem Bestand von BAOBAB), 50 Bibliotheksführungen, 300 Anfragebeantwortungen;

- Versand von jährlich 4 Ausgaben der Online Zeitschrift ‚Globales Lernen im Unterricht‘ an 11.000 Bildungsadressen, jährlich 10 fachspezifische Newsletters;

- Jährlich 3 Veranstaltungen der Reihe ‚Bildung im C3ntrum‘ mit den C3-Partnern (je ca. 150 TeilnehmerInnen),

- Herstellung und Vertrieb von 800 DVDs pro Jahr;

- Projektstudie und Erstellung eines Youtube-Kanals mit internationalen Kurzfilmen;

- Versand von 50 Medientipps pro Jahr an ca. 2.750 Adressen.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 467.621 mit Euro 300.000 (64,15%) für 2 Jahre gefördert.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
