Overall goal


Das vorliegende Projekt ist die Fortführung der Auseinandersetzung der OEZA mit islamischen Welten. Mit dem vorliegenden Vertrag wird das Vorhaben der Organisation der "Vienna International Christian Islamic Summer University (VICISU)" vom 29. Juni bis 19. Juli 2008 im Stift Altenburg (Niederösterreich) gefördert. Veranstaltet wird die Sommeruniversität von der Universität Wien; Lehrende und Teilnehmende kommen aus einer Reihe internationaler Universitäten und -institutionen.


Die Summer University versteht sich als "Spin-off" des "Vienna International Christian Islamic Round Table", der im Jahr 2000 von der Theologischen Hochschule St. Gabriel ins Leben gerufen wurde.


Ziel der Summer University ist es, drei Wochen lang 30 StudentInnen (darunter zirka 60% Frauen) aus mehrheitlich christlichen und muslimischen Ländern zusammenzubringen und ihnen aus theologischer, rechts- und sozialwissenschaftlicher Sicht die Grundzüge, Perspektiven und Aspekte des aktuellen interreligiösen Dialogs zwischen Christentum und Islam zu vermitteln.

Die Studierenden werden hierbei von 18 ProfessorInnen bzw. hochqualifizierten jungen LektorInnen aus angesehenen Universitäten und internationalen Institutionen unterrichtet.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
