Overall goal


Die ÖOG-HP versteht sich als Zentrum der Begegnung zwischen Österreich und dem islamischen Orient und setzt Aktivitäten in entwicklungspolitischer- und kulturspezifischer Hinsicht. Die ÖOG-HP will ein Begegnungs- und Dialogforum darstellen, welches Informations- und Gedankenaustausch fördert und als Informationsvermittlungs- und Anlaufstelle für verschiedene interessierte Zielgruppen fungiert.


Die ÖOG-HP unterstützt die Festigung einer "Orient-Kompetenz" in Österreich und stärkt mit diesem Projekt die Plattform und Informationsvermittlungsstelle für am islamischen Orient interessierte Personen und Institutionen. Themenschwerpunkte 2007 werden Islamische Welten und Globalisierung, orientalische Identitäten und Internationalisierung sein. Eine Publikation der Vortragsinhalte und eine Verbreitung der Seminarinhalte werden via Homepage veröffentlicht um eine größere Reichweite zu erzielen. Generell wird auf die Einbindung diverser Medien in die Durchführung und Verbreitung der Themen geachtet. Eine wirksame Breitenwirkung in der österreichischen Öffentlichkeit wird aufgrund Groß- aber auch Einzelveranstaltungen erreicht. Ein "Ideen- und Projektkatalog" soll den Puls der Zeit für zukünftige Aktivitäten treffen.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 197.000,00 in der Höhe von EUR 81.600,00 (41,42%) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
