Das Projekt leistet einen Beitrag zur Qualitätsentwicklung der im und zum Fairen Handel getätigten entwicklungspolitischen Informations- und Bildungsarbeit.

In den letzten 3 Jahren wurde von der ARGE Weltläden die "Fair Trade Academy" eingerichtet. Das Projekt schließt an das Vorprojekt an. Die Erfahrungen der beiden ersten Lehrgänge wurden in einem partizipativen Prozess systematisch evaluiert und fließen in diese Weiterentwicklung der Fair Trade Academy ein.


Neu gibt es diesmal ergänzende, so genannte Update-Seminare, die in Zukunft in einem zweijährigen Zyklus angeboten werden sollen. Neben MitarbeiterInnen von Weltläden zielt das Angebot nun auch auf andere Personen, die dem Fairen Handel nahe stehen oder diesen in ihrer jeweiligen Organisation als Themenschwerpunkt betreuen. Die angestrebte Öffnung der Zielgruppen wurde schon im zweiten Lehrgang mit positiven Rückmeldungen praktiziert. Es wird großer Wert darauf gelegt, weitere Dialoggruppen für die Angebote zu interessieren.


Die Aktivitäten umfassen 2010 die Fortführung und den Abschluss des 3. Lehrgangs durch die Abwicklung der Module 2, 3 und 4. 2011 beginnt die Vorbereitung und Durchführung des 4. Lehrgangs, bestehend aus 4 Modulen bis Ende 2012. Drei Update-Seminare für die AbsolventInnen gibt es im Jahr 2011. In allen Projektjahren finden 4 - 5 Grundkurse pro Jahr statt.


Dabei wird eine kritische Reflexion von Theorie und Praxis des Fairen Handels als einem effizienten Instrument der EZA angestrebt. Im Sinne des Globalen Lernens haben Austausch und Diskussion einen reflektierenden Charakter.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 94.950,- in der Höhe von EUR 35.000,- (36,86%) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
