Overall goal


Das österreichische WIDE-Netzwerk engagiert sich seit seiner Gründung 1991 für Gendergerechtigkeit und das Empowerment von Frauen sowie für die Förderung einer frauenrelevanten Entwicklungspolitik. WIDE Österreich trägt dabei der Sensibilisierung für eine gender-gerechte Perspektive und deren stärkerer Verankerung in der Entwicklungspolitik, in Projekten der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit sowie in Maßnahmen der Öffentlichkeits- und Bildungsarbeit engagiert Rechnung.

Das Arbeitsprogramm für 2006-2007 umfasst als wesentlichste Aufgabenfelder die Informations- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit mit Genderschwerpunkt, Aus- und Weiterbildungsangebote für Capacity Building von MultiplikatorInnen in der staatlichen und nichtstaatlichen EZA sowie die Erarbeitung von fachspezifischen Positionen zu entwicklungspolitisch relevanten Themen aus feministischer Perspektive und Lobbying damit.

Inhaltliche Schwerpunkte bilden die Themenbereiche Frauen und Wirtschaft, Entwicklungszusammenarbeit, Außenwirtschaftspolitik und internationale Wirtschafts- und Finanzinstitutionen aus Gendersicht und Gender und biologische Vielfalt.

WIDE kooperiert mit zahlreichen NGOs sowie mit wichtigen Institutionen im entwicklungspolitischen Bereich, mit Medien, Gewerkschaften, kirchlichen Einrichtungen sowie im Rahmen des WIDE-Netzwerks v.a. mit Frauen-NGOs auf europäischer und internationaler Ebene.


Vorrangige Zielgruppen sind MitarbeiterInnen entwicklungspolitischer NGOs, politische EntscheidungsträgerInnen, Beamte, MedienvertreterInnen, MultiplikatorInnen in Einrichtungen der Erwachsenenbildung, aus kirchlichen Institutionen, den Gewerkschaften, Frauenorganisationen sowie entwicklungs- und frauenpolitisch Interessierte.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 110.482,00 in der Höhe von

EUR 93.910,00 (85 %) für 2 Jahre gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
