Overall goal


Die ÖAW hat eine eigene Kommission für Entwicklungsfragen (KEF) gegründet welche sich als österreichische Informations- und Koordinationsstelle für Angelegenheiten der Nord-Süd-Kooperation im Bereich Wissenschaft und Forschung versteht. Es werden über die KEF entwicklungspolitische Veranstaltungen wie beispielsweise die Konferenz mit dem Titel:"Ein kritischer Blick auf die Rolle der Forschung zur Erreichung der MDGs" organisiert. Das qualitativ für gut anerkannte Ergebnis dieser Veranstaltung ist der ADA bekannt.


Das Projekt "Forschungsreise durch Zeit und Raum. Wie Wissenschaft Äthiopien und Österreich verbindet" wird ebenfalls von der KEF durchgeführt. Die Ausstellung ist in vier Themenbereiche gegliedert: 1. Einleitung; 2. Wissenschaft setzt Menschen in Bewegung; 3. Wissenschaft stellt Verbindungen her; 4. Wissenschaft ermöglicht Veränderungen. Die Konzeption der Wanderausstellung wurde in Kooperation mit der Südwind Agentur erarbeitet. Die Ausstellung wird durch die neun österreichischen Bundesländer reisen und an unterschiedlichen Ausstellungsorten zielgruppenorientiert gezeigt. Ein pädagogisches Begleitprogramm ist vorgesehen. Zielgruppe sind primär SchülerInnen (Oberstufe) und StudentInnen. Lehrende an Schulen werden durch ein pädagogisches Begleitprogramm involviert, das sie befähigen soll die Inhalte selbstständig weiterzugeben. Es sind eine dreiwöchige Ausstellungsdauer in der Aula der ÖAW und die Präsentation an öffentlichen Orten in Wien und den anderen Bundesländern geplant.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 99.540,00 und einer Laufzeit von 2 Jahren in der Höhe von EUR 59.724,00 (60,00 %) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
