Overall goal


Der Verein proFrau - Plattform für Frauenrechte hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, unter Nutzung moderner Medien wie Internet und Film die Öffentlichkeit über die Verletzung von Frauenrechten und Diskriminierung von Frauen zu informieren und dafür zu sensibilisieren. Die Frauenfilmtage finden seit 2004 jährlich im Frühjahr in Wien statt und wurden 2005 erstmals von der OEZA gefördert. Die Filmtage haben sich bereits zu einer öffentlich gut wahrnehmbaren Veranstaltung entwickelt, sind gut besucht und bieten ein inhaltlich interessantes Programm.


Die FrauenFilmTage 2006 in Wien präsentieren im März 2006 im Polyfilm/Filmcasino ca. 20 Dokumentar- und Spielfilme. Eine Vielzahl an Begleitveranstaltungen (Diskussionen, Gespräche mit Regisseurinnen) sowie eine breite Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit ergänzen das Programm.


Einen inhaltlichen Schwerpunkt bildet anlässlich des EU-Lateinamerika-Gipfels das Thema Frauen in Lateinamerika, weitere Filme setzen sich mit den Themen traditionelle Gesellschaften, Zwangsheirat, Gesundheit, Krieg u. Kriegsfolgen, Arbeitswelt und Menschenrechte auseinander. Ziel ist es, zu den einzelnen Themen jeweils Dokumentar- und Spielfilme von hoher filmischer und inhaltlicher Qualität auszuwählen. Begleitend dazu organisiert proFrau Gespräche mit 3 bis 4 eingeladenen Regisseurinnen sowie Diskussionsveranstaltungen mit Vertreterinnen beteiligter Frauenorganisationen.


Die zentrale Zielgruppe sind Frauen aller Alters- und Berufsgruppen, entwicklungspolitisch Interessierte, CineastInnen, MultiplikatorInnen und JournalistInnen.




Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 18.750,- in der Höhe von EUR 4.000,- (21,33%) gefördert.
