Overall goal


Das Ziel des Projekts von HORIZONT3000 ist die Verbesserung der Lebensqualität der Bevölkerung im Projektgebiet durch das Empowerment von Frauen und Eliminierung aller Arten von Diskriminierung gegen Frauen. Mehr Bewusstsein für die Situation der Frauen, deren Diskriminierung und deren Rechte innerhalb der ländlichen Dorfgemeinschaften soll entstehen. Das Projekt wird insbesondere Auswirkungen auf das soziale Gefüge in den Projektgemeinden haben. Bereits jetzt nach Abschluss des Vorgänger-Projektes kann ein Bruch mit altgedienten Traditionen beobachtetet werden: Die Raten bei Beschneidungen und anderen fragwürdigen Traditionen sowie die Fälle von Kindesverheiratungen sind bereits signifikant rückläufig. Mit der neuen Projektphase wird eine Verstärkung dieses Trends in den Projektorten erwartet. Zielgruppe der Aktivitäten sind alle BewohnerInnen von 10 Dörfern und ausgewählten Randgruppen in der Stadt Minia.


Aktivitäten

- Abhalten einer Reihe von Maßnahmen zur Bewusstseinsbildung

- Alphabetisierungskurse für Frauen

- Unterstützung von Frauen in rechtlichen Angelegenheiten

- Medizinische Serviceleistungen im Bereich der reproduktiven Gesundheit etc.

- Kleinkredite für Einzelpersonen und Gruppen

- Ein integrierteres Maßnahmenpaket für besonders diskriminierte Gruppen von Frauen in der Stadt Minia.

- Initiierung eines Frauen-NGO-Netzwerks.

Weitere Aktivitäten zur Stärkung der lokalen Kapazitäten sind:

- Capacity Building Maßnahmen für die MitarbeiterInnen der lokalen Projektpartnerorganisation

- Involvierung der Dorfbewohner in die Implementierung der Projektaktivitäten: Die "Local Leaders" (= TrainerInnen) stammen aus den Projektdörfern.

- Trainingsmaßnahmen für die "Natural Leaders" im Bereich Mediation und Konflikten in Familien.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
