Overall goal


Das Projekt wird von der Afrika-Vernetzungsplattform (AVP), der ersten Allianz afrikanischer Communities in Österreich, durchgeführt. AVP ist in vier regionale Vernetzungszentralen (Wien, Linz, Graz, Salzburg) gegliedert. Die Initiative wird von afrikanischen Organisationen in ganz Österreich getragen. Mit dem Projekt werden strategische Partnerschaften, Synergien und eine nachhaltige Vernetzung der afrikanischen Initiativen/Vereine realisiert; sowie Interesse, Neugier und Offenheit für Afrika in einem globalen Kontext und für entwicklungspolitische/globale Themen hervorgerufen. Die Sichtbarkeit der gemeinsamen Aktionen soll gestärkt sowie die aktive Beteiligung der Communities am Afrika-Diskurs in Österreich gefördert werden. Um die erfolgreiche Vernetzung und den Dialog zu stärken, wird AVP vielfältige Maßnahmen afrikanischer Initiativen koordinieren und selbst Aktionen umsetzen. Die Projektaktivitäten umfassen die Bereiche (1) Dialog- und Vernetzungsarbeit, (2) Community Building, (3) Medien- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und (4) Ke Nako Afrika-Image Kampagne (u.a. Internationale Konferenz Entwicklung entwickeln in Wien; österreichweite Veranstaltungsreihe 24 Stunden in Afrika). Zielgruppen sind die Mitglieder der afrikanischen Communities in Österreich, MeinungsbildnerInnen und JournalistInnen, politische EntscheidungsträgerInnen, NRO sowie eine breitere interessierte Öffentlichkeit.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von insgesamt Euro 110.000,- (64,55 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
