Overall goal


Zielgruppe des Projekts in der Gemeinde Tarrafal im Nordwesten der Insel Santiago (Kapverden) sind 30 Mädchen im Pflichtschulalter (6 - 12 Jahre) aus besonders armen wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Verhältnissen. Kinder werden oft kaum betreut bzw. sind auf sich allein gestellt, da die Eltern arbeiten oder ihren Lebensunterhalt als MigrantInnen in Europa verdienen und die Kinder bei Verwandten untergebracht sind. Das Leben vieler Kinder findet deshalb nach der Schule auf der Straße statt. Fokus auf Mädchen deswegen, weil der Schulbesuch von Mädchen oft nicht als notwendig betrachtet wird und sie meist mehr als Buben Verantwortung im Haushalt übernehmen müssen.

Oberziel des Projekts: Verringerung der Armut der Zielgruppe durch Schaffung von Zukunftsperspektiven. Ziel ist, dass die Mädchen durch Lernbegleitung einen positiven Schulabschluss in der Grundschule erreichen, da dies die Berechtigung schafft, mit einer Lehre zu beginnen, eine Ausbildung im In- oder Ausland zu machen oder an einer Universität zu studieren. Die Chancen die Armut aus eigener Kraft zu bekämpfen sind mit einem erfolgreichen Schulabschluss eng verknüpft.

Geplante Aktivitäten:

1. Lernbegleitung von einer ausgebildeten Lehrerin betreut (u.a. Hausaufgaben)

2. Nachhilfegruppen, die ebenfalls von der Lehrerin geleitet werden.

3. Materielle Hilfe zum Schulunterricht: falls notwendig Hilfe Schulgeld, Schuluniform, Schulbücher, Hefte, etc.

4. Zusammenarbeit/Aufklärungsarbeit mit Erziehungsberechtigten

5. Kontakt, Austausch & Zusammenarbeit mit Schulen der Gemeinde Tarrafal, allen voran mit den LehrerInnen der am Projekt beteiligten Mädchen

6. Zusammenarbeit mit dem Caboverdeanischen Institut für Kinder und Jugendliche. Problemfälle werden mit der Psychologin dieses Instituts besprochen und/oder an sie zur Betreuung übergeben.

7. Regelmäßige Aufklärungsveranstaltungen zu Themen wie Drogen, Geschlechtskrankheiten, Gewalt etc.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
