Overall goal


Mit dem Prgramm werden Kernaufgaben der Menschenrechtsorganisation FIAN Österreich für 2012-2014 gefördert. FIAN Ö will wirtschaftliche, soziale und kulturelle Menschenrechte in Österreich bekannt machen und für Unterstützung gegen Verletzungen des Rechts auf Nahrung mobilisieren. Protestbriefaktionen, Kampagnen und langfristige Fallarbeit, Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Beratung bilden die Grundlagen der angestrebten Stärkung des Rechts auf Nahrung.

Inhaltlicher Fokus des Projektes sind internationale Menschenrechte im Kontext der Extraterritorialen Staatenpflichten von Österreich. Internationale Investitionspolitik und Ressourcenpolitik anhand ausgewählter Fälle werden beleuchtet. Die Ergebnisse von Fall- und Situationsanalysen werden in Broschüren veröffentlicht. Informations- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit begleiten die Aktionen. Strategische Partnerschaften mit NROs aus dem kirchlichen und aus dem Umweltbereich werden aufgebaut. Am "Rio+20"-Schwerpunkt österreichischer Umwelt- und Entwicklungsorganisationen wird mitgewirkt.


Das Projekt wird in der Höhe von EUR 150.000,- (83,87 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert. Laufzeit: 3 Jahre.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
