Overall goal


Das Paulo Freire Zentrum (PFZ) betreibt eine von Paulo Freire inspirierte entwicklungspolitische Bildungsarbeit, die Weltprobleme im Zusammenhang mit Vor-Ort-Problemen reflektiert und bearbeitet. 2011 und 2012 wird das PFZ eine Reihe von Angeboten realisieren, die konkrete Möglichkeiten für MultiplikatorInnen der Bildungsarbeit (insbesondere der Entwicklungspolitik) bieten, ihre Praxis zu reflektieren und neue Perspektiven zu gewinnen. Schwerpunktthemen 2011-2012 sind Interkulturalität & Weltentwicklung, Staat & Entwicklung. Die Projektmaßnahmen umfassen: Veranstaltungen, Informationsvermittlung (Medienbeiträge, Publikationen, Website, Newsletter, pdf-Publikationsschiene), die Fimwerkstatt, Beratungsleistungen für einzelne Projekte, ReferentInnentätigkeit, Betreuung von PraktikantInnen, Mentoring-Programm, Fortsetzung "Hauptschule trifft Hochschule". Highlight wird die Vorbereitung, Durchführung und Nachbereitung der Fünften Österreichischen Entwicklungstagung sein, welche sich dem Thema Staat & Entwicklung vom 14.-16.Oktober 2011 in Krems widmen wird. Die zentralen Zielgruppen sind: 1.MultiplikatorInnen im Bereich Entwicklungspolitik, 2. MultiplikatorInnen relevanter Bildungsbereiche, 3. MultiplikatorInnen und Organisationen, die mit sozial schlechter gestellten Menschen arbeiten.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 142.450.-in der Höhe von Euro 92.500,- (64,94%) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
