Overall goal


Das Projekt wird von der multimedialen Community-Plattform Radio Afrika TV durchgeführt. Neben der Vertiefung des Wissens über Afrika und der verstärkten Partizipation von AfrikanerInnen in ihrem Umfeld, sind der Abbau von Berührungsängsten und die Förderung des interkulturellen Dialogs zentrale Anliegen des Medienprojektes. Das Vorhaben umfasst ein breites Spektrum an Aktivitäten wie die (1) Gestaltung und Produktion von täglichen Radio-Programmen, (2) wöchentlichen TV-Sendungen (inkl. Reportagen, Success-Stories) und des viermal jährlich erscheinenden (3) Print-Magazins ‚Tribüne Afrikas (Auflage: 6.000 Stk). ¿ Die Initiative leistet jährlich rund 1400 Radio- und TV-Sendungen auf den Wiener Community-Sendern Radio Orange FM 94.0 (täglich außer Do 9-10h) und OKTO-TV (jeweils Mo 20-20.30h). Der ORF strahlt seine Community-Programme, zu denen auch Sendungen von Radio Afrika zählen, als Webradio unter dem Titel Ö1Campus aus. Die Sendungen von Radio Afrika werden täglich von 21-23h in den Studios vom ORF produziert und ausgestrahlt. Afrika TV auf OKTO ist über UPS, AON TV und Telekabel in ganz Österreich zu empfangen. Das (4) Internet-Portal (www.radioafrika.net) mit umfassenden Afrika-Informationen, Community-Services, Veranstaltungskalender und Datenbank Afrika in Wien wird weitergeführt. Neben der redaktionellen Arbeit und Produktion der umfangreichen multimedialen Programme, führt Radio Afrika Bildungs- und Begegnungsprojekte in/mit Wiener Schulen und Gemeindebezirken sowie internationale Medienaustausch-Programme durch. Außerdem begleiten Informations- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit sowie Beratungsleistungen, Netzwerkarbeit sowie Schulungs- und Trainingsangebote (Radiojournalismus, Radiotechnik) das Maßnahmenpaket. Die primären Zielgruppen sind afrikanische Community und eine interessierte Öffentlichkeit.
