Overall goal


In Zentralamerika sind insbes. Frauen im Bildungssektor benachteiligt und häufige Unkundigkeit bzw. Missachtung der Rechte von Mädchen und Frauen in Bezug auf innerfamiliäre und sexuelle Gewalt zu beobachten. Das Vorherrschen von diskriminierenden Strukturen in Familie, Politik und Gesellschaft ist der Ansatzpunkt für das Projektvorhaben.


Ziel ist es, durch Förderung der Bildung von Frauen, der Durchsetzung ihrer Rechte und ihres Empowerments auf persönlicher, familiärer, gesellschaftlicher und politischer Ebene qualifizierte, genderbewusste und engagierte Fachfrauen heranzubilden, die als Entscheidungsträgerinnen in ihrem (späteren) beruflichen Umfeld tätig sind und Einfluss auf das familiäre und soziale Umfeld haben.

Das Konzept hat durch die Verbindung von Universitätsstudium (Unterstützung durch Stipendien) bzw. berufsbildenden Lehrgängen, Persönlichkeitsbildung und div. Leadership-trainings von Frauen, sowie ihrem verpflichtenden sozialen Engagement Vorbildwirkung in der zentralamerikanischen Region.

Neben der Förderung des Zugangs zu Grundbildung, Berufsbildung und höherer Bildung, sowie der Unterstützung bei der Durchsetzung der Rechte von Frauen und Mädchen, soll zur Entwicklung von wirksamen Maßnahmen für Genderpolitik und verstärkte Einflussnahme beigetragen werden. Die Zusammenarbeit mit regionalen und internationalen Netzwerken soll die diversen Fördermaßnahmen verstärken.


Primäre Zielgruppe des Projekts sind ca. 385 engagierte Frauen und Mädchen aus wirtschaftlich schwierigen Verhältnissen in Nicaragua und Guatemala. Das Projekt soll MitarbeiterInnen und EntscheidungsträgerInnen sowohl aus Organisationen der Zivilgesellschaft als auch aus staatlichen Institutionen erreichen.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
