Overall goal


Die Naturfreunde Internationale (NFI) und ihr Kompetenzfeld für Nachhaltige Tourismusentwicklung widmet sich unter der Wortmarke respect dem Themenbereich des weltweiten Tourismus und seinen Auswirkungen auf Gesellschaft, Umwelt und Entwicklung.

Mit dem ADA-Förderpogramm soll nachhaltiges/faires Reisen im österreichischen Outgoing-Tourismus (Angebot, Nachfrage, gesetzliche Rahmenbedingungen) gestärkt werden. Wirtschaftstreibende, Reisende aber auch politische Entscheidungsträger werden für ökonomische, soziale und ökologische Zusammenhänge im globalen Tourismus sensibilisiert; positive Beispiele und Erfahrungen zeigen Handlungsmöglichkeiten auf. Dadurch soll faires Reisen verstärkt nachgefragt und gelebt werden.

Im Fokus der Fortschreibung des Programmes Reisen mit Respekt 2014-15 werden die Themen Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) und Menschenrechte im Kontext des Fernreisetourismus stehen. Ebenfalls werden die Themen Fairtrade/Nachhaltigkeitssiegel, Armutsbekämpfung und Klimagerechtigkeit weiter aufgearbeitet und kommuniziert.

Die bewährten Maßnahmen umfassen Informations- und Bildungsarbeit, Netzwerkaktivitäten und politische Anwaltschaft. Kooperationen mit MultiplikatorInnen (Tourismuswirtschaft, NRO, Medien) werden fortgeführt und die (inter)nationale Netzwerkarbeit forciert. Spezifische Projekte (Erstellen von Publikationen und Informationsgrundlagen, Organisation von Veranstaltungen, Erarbeiten von Bildungsmaterialien etc.) als auch fortlaufende Aktivitäten (Presse- und Medienarbeit, Web/Soziale Medien, regelmäßige Newsletter, etc.) sollen vordergründig den Mainstream der österreichischen Reisewirtschaft und deren KundInnen (Reisende) ansprechen.


Das Projekt wird in der Höhe von Euro 140.000,- (74,67 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert. Laufzeit: 1.1.2014-31.12.2015 (2 Jahr)

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
