Overall goal


respect widmet sich dem Themenbereich des weltweiten Tourismus und seinen Auswirkungen auf Gesellschaft, Umwelt und Entwicklung. Schwerpunkte der Arbeit sind Information, Bildungs- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit sowie Forschung zu Themen der Nachhaltigen Entwicklung im Tourismus. Die OEZA unterstützt die entwicklungspolitische Kommunikations- und Bildungsarbeit von respect seit seiner Gründung 1995 mit dem Ziel, Reisende, Reiseveranstalter und Verantwortliche im Tourismus für die Bedeutung einer nachhaltigen Tourismusentwicklung zu sensibilisieren.

2009 werden Informations- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit sowie Bildungsangebote fortgeführt und weiterentwickelt. Inhaltlich konzentriert sich respect auf die beiden Themenschwerpunkte "Interkultureller Dialog" und "Klimawandel". Wesentlich bleibt die Information von Reisenden in Entwicklungsländer, dabei setzt respect auf das Medium Internet und auf Medienarbeit. Kooperationen mit MultiplikatorInnen (Tourismuswirtschaft, NRO, Medien) werden fortgesetzt, zahlreiche Maßnahmen und Materialien der Vorjahre werden weiterentwickelt eingesetzt. 2009 werden Strategiearbeit (Stärkung des Organisationsprofils) und Netzwerkarbeit intensiviert. Darüber hinaus engagiert sich respect auch für die internationale Zusammenarbeit zum Thema kommerzieller, sexueller Kindesmissbrauch im Tourismus (code of conduct, ECPAT).


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 110.000,- (73,65 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
