Overall goal


Der 45-minütige Dokumentarfilm von Walter Wehmeyer porträtiert zwei ehemalige Straßenkinder aus den Slums Nairobis, die 12-jährige Margret und den 16-jährigen Mushoki.

Die beiden Jugendlichen erhalten im Rahmen zweier Sozialprojekte die Möglichkeit zum Schulbesuch und zu einer Ausbildung und werden von SozialarbeiterInnen betreut.

Der Film begleitet die Jugendlichen in ihrem Alltag und thematisiert Verstädterung, Entstehung von Slums und globale Ursachen von Armut.

Der Film wird auf ALPHA Österreich/BR-alpha und bei Planet TV Germany ausgestrahlt. Er wird auch über die Weltbilder-Medienstelle Baobab zum Verleih für die Bildungsarbeit zur Verfügung stehen.


Durch eine Förderung aus Mitteln der OEZA sollen insbesondere der Schnitt und die Fertigstellung des Films gewährleistet werden.


Das Projekt wird in der Höhe von EUR 10.000.- (35,69% des Gesamtprojektvolumens in der Höhe von EUR 28.018,55) gefördert.
