Overall goal


Nach 2 jährigem Bürgerkrieg in Darfur ist die Lage nach wie vor prekär und die betroffene Bevölkerung bedarf in einer sich zunehmend verschlechternden Sicherheitssituation auch weiterhin der Hilfe von außen. Insbesondere der Gesundheitsbereich ist davon betroffen.

Die Netzwerke von ACT (Action for People together) und Caritas haben sich unter ACT/Caritas für den Nothilfeeinsatz in Darfur zusammengeschlossen und arbeiten unter dem Namen "Darfur Emergency Response Operations (DERO)" seit 2004 im Gesundheitsbereich.

Das vorliegende Projekt unterstützt den Betrieb von stationären 5 Kliniken in Darfur für je 1000 Personen/Monat, die Schulungen von lokalem medizinischen Personal sowie die Bereitstellung benötigter medizinischer Ausrüstung. Zusätzlich wird die Errichtung und der Betrieb einer mobilen Klinik für geschätzte 1.200 bis 2.000 Patienten/Monat sichergestellt. Zielgruppen sind die vom Bürgerkrieg betroffene Bevölkerung, wie auch die intern Vertriebenen (IDPs) und die lokale Bevölkerung (hosting community).

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
