Overall goal


Der 52-minütige Dokumentarfilm von Regisseurin Barbara Weissenbeck erzählt in Parallelhandlungen von drei südafrikanischen OpernsängerInnen aus den Townships von Kapstadt, die es geschafft haben, in Südafrika und darüber hinaus Karriere zu machen. Der Film wird vor der Fußballweltmeisterschaft 2010 in Südafrika fertig gestellt (März 2010).


Die Förderung wird speziell für die Vertriebs- und Verwertungsmaßnahmen gewährt. Diese umfassen Fernsehausstrahlungen u.a. auf ORF/3Sat und SF Schweiz (beide sind Kooperationspartner), Filmpräsentationen im Rahmen des Afrika-Schwerpunkts 2010 KeNako Afrika gemeinsam mit VIDC - kulturen in bewegung und eine eigene Homepage zum Film. Geplant sind auch die Ausstrahlung des Films im Rahmen des Filmfestivals am Wiener Rathausplatz 2010 sowie diverse Festivaleinreichungen.




Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 5.000,00 (33,33% des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert.
