Short Description:

Overall goal


Das Ziel des Projektes ist es die Relevanz von Skalierung sozialunternehmerischer Innovation und sektorübergreifenden Partnerschaften („Co-Creation“) für die Entwicklungszusammenarbeit zu mobilisieren und das Ökosystem für Social Entrepreneurship in Österreich sowie in ausgewählten Transformations- und Entwicklungsländern zu stärken. Ein eigenes, replizierbares Geschäftsmodell wird für die Skalierungsagentur erstellt, um dieses auch in anderen Ländern etablieren zu können.


Expected results


4 bis 6 Sozialunternehmen aus Österreich werden in der Wachstumsphase und der Internationalisierung begleitet und weitere 4 bis 6 aus dem Ausland nach Österreich. Zumindestens 4 zusätzliche Partnerschaften zur Skalierung sozialer Innovation und Sozialunternehmen werden geschlossen. Ebenso werden 3 Capacity-Building Workshops zum Thema Skalierung und sektorübergreifende Partnerschaften („Co-Creation) durchgeführt. 10 Unternehmen und/oder Institutionen und insgesamt 80 Personen sollen unmittelbar vom Vorhaben profitieren. 2-8 Arbeitsplätze werden in der Aufbauphase geschaffen.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Sozialunternehmen werden bei der Internationalisierung in Schwellen- und Entwicklungsländer direkt über die Skalierungsagentur unterstützt, wo sie positive soziale Wirkung entfalten und zur Lösung von akuten entwicklungspolitischen Herausforderungen beitragen. Folgende Komponenten sind geplant:

Das Geschäftsmodell wird in einer ersten Stufe entwickelt, um Social Entrepreneurs gezielt unterstützen zu können, um in weiterer Folge die Begleitmaßnahmen für die Skalierung in Entwicklungs- und Schwellenländer anbieten zu können.

Die ADA unterstützt bereits das Leadership-Programm von Ashok (2804-00/2015).

    • BMLFUW - Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water
    • EU - Funds of the European Commission
    • Others - various other donors are listed in ADA’s annual business report.
  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
