Overall goal


Das Vorhaben findet im Vorfeld des 5. Jahresforums der UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) im Feb 2013 in Wien statt. 800 VertreterInnen von Staaten, Internationalen Organisationen, NGOs und Medien aus der ganzen Welt werden zusammenkommen, um im Sinne der Völkerverständigung einen Dialog zu vier Tagungsthemen zu führen: Religiöser Pluralismus in der Erziehung, Migration und Integration als Mehrwert für die Gesellschaft, Medienbildung sowie Energie und nachhaltige Entwicklung. Ziel des UNAOC-Mandates ist es, cross-cultural-Beziehungen zwischen den Nationen und Gemeinschaften zu fördern (Schwerpunkt Dialog westlich-muslimische Gesellschaften), Extremismus zu bekämpfen sowie kulturelle, religiöse und soziale Barrieren zu überwinden.

Das Projekt UNAOC-Youth Event Vienna am 26. Feb. 2013 richtet sich an jüngere TeilnehmerInnen des Forums (18 bis 35 Jahre) und bietet ihnen die Möglichkeit des Interkulturellen Lernens, Netzwerkens, und vor allem der inhaltlichen Vorbereitung für das Forum. Während des eintägigen Programms werden 150 Jugendliche (50 aus Österreich, 100 aus der ganzen Welt) an partizipativ gestalteten Workshops, Gruppendiskussionen und Präsentationen teilnehmen. Die thematischen Schwerpunkte knüpfen an die 4 Themen des offiziellen Forums an.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 60.000,- (84,20% des Gesamtprojektvolumens)gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
