Overall goal


Ziel des Projekts ist die Kapazitätsentwicklung von Fachpersonal für die Umsetzung des regionalen Entwicklungsplanes der Atlantikregionen Nicaraguas (Plan de Desarrollo de la Costa Caribe - PDCC) sowie für die Konsolidierung des Autonomieprozesses. Das Projekt wird von der Universität der Karibikregionen Nicaraguas (URACCAN), Standort Siuna, in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den umliegenden Gemeinden umgesetzt.


Die geplanten Ergebnisse umfassen:


1. Stärkung der Kapazitäten der in den Regionen ansässigen Fachleute durch gezielte Weiter- und Ausbildungsprogramme zu lokaler Wirtschaftsentwicklung und angewandter Forschung;

2. Stärkung der Führungs- und Managementkapazitäten des Personals in den kommunalen Verwaltungsorganen mit besonderem Fokus auf Frauen und Jugendliche;

3. Stärkung der Gemeinden und der lokalen, indigenen Wirtschaft, insbesondere in den Bereichen Ernährungssicherung, Produktion und Vermarktung.


Die Zielgruppe des Projekts umfasst 130 Fachkräfte aus dem universitären Bereich und von regionalen und kommunalen Regierungsinstanzen, 260 StudentInnen, 60 ProduzentInnen, über 1.600 kleinbäuerliche Familien in 21 Gemeinden, sowie die generell die Bevölkerung der Bergwerksgemeinden im Umfeld von Siuna/RAAN (ca. 85.000 Einwohner).


Zu den wichtigsten Projektmaßnahmen gehören Lehrgänge und Kurse zur Aus- und Weiterbildung und zur Spezialisierung von Fachkräften sowie die praktische Umsetzung der gelernten Inhalte gemeinsam mit den Bewohnern der umliegenden Gemeinden. Mit der Bevölkerung von 16 Gemeinden werden lokale Entwicklungspläne erarbeit, welche die Einführung von nachhaltigen Produktionssystemen für indigene und Bauernfamilien sowie die Förderung lokaler Vermarktungsnetzwerke beinhalten.



In Anbetracht des zunehmenden Fachkräftebedarfs für die Umsetzung des Regionalen Entwicklungsplanes für die Karibikregionen wird dieses Projekt einen grundlegenden Beitrag zur bedarfsgerechten Ausbildung und somit zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung der ärmsten Gebiete Nicaragua
