Overall goal


Im bisherigen Verlauf der Intifada wurden im Gaza Streifen hunderte palästinensische Wohnhäuser durch das israelische Militär zerstört. Am 2. September 2004 wurden auch 2 Wohnblocks des österreichischen Wohnhausprojekts in Khan Younis zerstört, womit weitere 34 Familien ihr Hab und Gut verloren und obdachlos wurden. Weitere 133 Familien in den österreichischen Wohnblocks verliesen aus Angst vor der Zerstörung ihrer Häuser ebenfalls die Wohnungen.


Im Rahmen des Projekts soll Nothilfe in Form von Cash-Assitance für die obdachlosen Flüchtlinge bereitgestellt werden. Dies beinhaltet Geld für Miete, für neue Möbel, sowie einmalige Zahlungen für weitere Kosten und Verluste für die Bewohner der österreichischen Wohnblocks.

Weiters wird im Zuge des Projekts zusätzlichen 336 Familien in Rafah Flüchtlingscamp, deren Häuser ebenfalls zerstört wurden, für 6 Monate Geld für Miete in anderen Unterkünften ausbezahlt.
