Overall goal


Die vielfältigen Aktivitäten zum Wheelday finden innerhalb des Schwerpunktes zum European Year for Development statt. Zielgruppe sind dabei einerseits Jugendliche, aber auch die allgemeine Öffentlichkeit in ganz Österreich. Dabei soll der Stellenwert von Hilfsmittelversorgung, Rehabilitation und Barrierefreiheit aufgezeigt, und zur Sensibilisierung gegenüber der Situation von Menschen mit Behinderung in Entwicklungsländern beigetragen werden. Das Institut für Friede, Umwelt und Entwicklung kooperiert dabei mit lokalen Gruppen der Landjugend, der Entwicklungsorganisation Licht für die Welt, dem Österreichischen Zivilinvalidenverband (ÖZIV) und dem Wiener Behinderten¬sportverband zusammen. Medienwirksame Maßnahmen ergänzen das Veranstaltungsprogramm.


Resultate:

Am 5. Mai ist europäischer Aktionstag für die Gleichstellung von Menschen mit Behinderungen. Rund um dieses Datum wird ein Pressegespräch mit BM Rupprechter zum Thema ‚Mobilität im ländlichen Raum‘, eine Informations- und Austauschveranstaltung ‚Wheelday. Eine Welt ohne Barrieren‘ mit ca. 80 Besucher/innen, und ein Rollstuhlparcour im Rahmen des ‚Wings-for-life-Run‘ stattfinden. Dazu gibt es eine neu erstellte Broschüre zum Thema. Die zentrale Plattform zum (Informations-)Austausch bildet die Homepage www.wheelday.at, welche über Teilnahmemöglichkeiten, laufende Veranstaltungen und Hintergrundinfos informiert. Zudem wird eine Facebookseite (www.facebook.com/wheelday) betrieben. Mit prominenten Vertreter/innen werden Testimonials geschaltet, ein Journalist/innen-Workshop gemeinsam mit ‚Licht für die Welt‘ und ein Wheelday-Spot ergänzen das Programm. Etwa 5 Ortsgruppen der Landjugend werden in ihren Heimatgemeinden verschiedene Aktivitäten setzen, jeweils an den regionalen Kontext angepasst.

Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 32.000.- in der Höhe von Euro 10.000.- (31,25%) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
