Overall goal


Das Ziel des Projektes ist es, durch Kooperationen mit anderen Markt-teilnehmerInnen die Produktion von Holzprodukten sowie die Bioener-gieproduktion qualitativ und quantitativ auf ein neues Level zu heben und Produkte nach Österreich zu exportieren.


Expected results


Das Ziel ist erreicht, wenn…

• die Versorgung von Holzabfall und Nutzholz (welches keiner Veredelung zugeführt werden kann) gesichert ist;

• Produktionskapazitäten für die Holz-Weiterverarbeitung bestehen;

• die Wälder der Projektregion FSC-zertifiziert sind; und

• Holzprodukte nach Österreich und in die EU exportiert werden.

 


Target group / Beneficiaries


Von dem Projekt profitieren mindestens 16 Firmen und 2.500 Personen in der Region Drvar. Insgesamt werden 90 Vollzeitjobs (mind. 1/3 Frauen) geschaffen. Durch den Aufbau eines Partnernetzwerkes wird sich die Breitenwirksamkeit über das Projekt hinaus vervielfachen.


Activities


Der Antragssteller wird in BiH ein Partnernetzwerk aufbauen, um sich damit die Versorgung von Holz-abfällen und Nutzholz zu sichern. Durch den Aufbau von Produktionskapazitäten wird das Holz vor Ort zu Ladungsträgern, Briketts und Bioenergie weiterverarbeitet.


Gemeinsam mit der überregionalen Forstwirtschaft SGD Herceg-bosanske Sume d.o.o. wird zudem eine FSC Zertifizierung der von SGD verwalteten Wälder angestrebt. Diese Zertifizierung fördert die Einführung von Qualitätsstandards und eine sozial- und umweltverträgliche Waldwirtschaft. Durch den Aufbau eines Vertriebsnetzwerkes werden die fertigen Produkte schließlich in BiH sowie in der Region und nach Öster-reich bzw. in die EU exportiert.


Context


Bosnien-Herzegowina birgt aufgrund der ausgezeichneten Verfügbarkeit des Rohstoffs Holz großes Potential im holzverarbeitenden Sektor. Die TOMA Palettenhandel GmbH hat umfassende Erfahrungen in der nachhaltigen Holzverarbeitung. Dem Eigentümer ist die Region auch persönlich ein großes Anliegen.
