Overall goal


Der Verein KuKuRoots veranstaltet im Oktober 2013 die 10. Entwicklungspolitischen Filmtage in Linz, Freistadt, Gramastetten und Gmunden.


Mit dem diesjährigen Schwerpunktthema Kuba werden, wie in den vorangegangen Jahren, über das Medium Film an fünf Tagen eine Region und deren entwicklungspolitische Aspekte vorgestellt. Es sollen aktuelle entwicklungspolitische Probleme Kubas beleuchtet und ein analytischer und kritischer Blick auf die weitere Entwicklung des Landes gelenkt werden. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei Themen wie Ernährungssicherung, umweltverträgliche wirtschaftliche Entwicklung, Tourismus, Bildung und Gesundheit sowie Menschenrechte.


Ein Begleitprogramm bestehend aus Musik, Kunst und Kulinarik aus Kuba sowie die Schaffung von sozialen Räumen für Diskussionen erlauben persönliche Annäherungen an den gewählten Themenschwerpunkt. Geplant ist auch die Einladung von Gästen mit kubanischen Wurzeln. Großes Augenmerk wird auch auf Medienkooperationen (u.a. mit Ö1, Radio OÖ, Oberösterreichische Nachrichten, freien Lokalradios) gelegt.


Zielgruppen sind MultiplikatorInnen aus Nichtregierungsorganisationen, kirchlichen Gruppen, Wissenschaft, Verwaltung und Politik, SchülerInnen und Studierende, sowie ein kulturtouristisch und gesellschaftspolitisch interessiertes Publikum.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 14.200 in der Höhe von Euro 5.000 (35,21%) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
