Ziel des Projekts ist der Aufbau einer Wertschöpfungskette für Bio-Moringa.


Expected results


Mit der Kultivierung und Weiterverarbeitung der Pflanze wird für ca. 300 Bauernfamilien der Chepang (Region Terai) eine Einkommensmöglichkeit geschaffen und somit ein Beitrag zur Verbesserung der Lebenssituation geleistet. Neben dem Anbau erfolgt die Verarbeitung des Moringa (Trocknung, Lagerung, Verarbeitung und Transport) in Nepal. So sollen zusätzlich Arbeitsplätze und Kleingewerbe entstehen.


Lokale Unternehmen/Institutionen, die aus der WiPa einen unmittelbaren Nutzen haben: 8-10 (Oneworld Pvt. Ltd.; Praja-Kooperative Shaktikor; 6-8 lokale KMU wie Verpackungsproduzenten, Transportunternehmen)

Personen, die aus der WiPa einen unmittelbaren Nutzen haben: ca. 2.000 (Kleinbauernfamilien, MitarbeiterInnen OneWorld in Kathmandu, auf der Farm sowie im rojektgebiet; lokale Kleinunternehmen)

Arbeitsplätze (Vollzeitäquivalente), die durch die Maßnahmen des Projekts im Partnerland geschaffen werden: ca. 300 (ca. 275 bei Smallhold-Farmer-Familien; ca. 25 in der Weiterverarbeitung)


Target group / Beneficiaries


Die Chepang sind ein ehemaliges Nomadenvolk, das von der Region zur Sesshaftigkeit gezwungen, nun in abgelegenen Waldregionen sein Dasein fristet.

Antragsteller ist die Gärtnerei „Der Holländer“ gemeinsam mit der Moringa Gärtnerei AG. Die beiden Pflanzenexperten und Gärtnermeister arbeiten seit 2013 daran, den Vertrieb für die Moringa Produkte zu organisieren und die „richtigen“ Produkte für den europäischen Markt zu entwickeln.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
