Short Description:

Overall goal


Das Ökosoziale Forum plant für 2017 zwei öffentliche Diskussionsveranstaltungen in Wien zu den Themen „Innovationen in der Landwirtschaft in Ländern des Südens“ sowie „Mangelernährung/Fettsucht“. Projektziel ist, neue Entwicklungen im Diskurs in den beiden Themenbereichen darzustellen. Mit den Veranstaltungen soll dem Publikum eine differenzierte Sicht auf globale Zusammenhänge und Entwicklungszusammenarbeit vermittelt und über die SDGs informiert werden.


Expected results


Bei den beiden Diskussionsveranstaltungen werden insgesamt rund 220 BesucherInnen erwartet. Indirekt wird eine interessierte Öffentlichkeit über Radio (Ö1) und (über)regionale Printmedien erreicht.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Zielgruppen sind die interessierte Öffentlichkeit (primär LeserInnen von Qualitätsmedien und Ö1-HörerInnen) sowie (zukünftige) EntscheidungsträgerInnen. Insbesondere junge Menschen/ Studierende werden mit dem Projekt angesprochen. Kooperationspartner sind das Institut für Umwelt–Friede–Entwicklung (IUFE), die Universität für Bodenkultur und das Ökosoziale Studierendenforum. Die regionale Ausrichtung der Veranstaltungen ist Wien; Medienarbeit wird österreichweit betrieben.


Activities


Im Rahmen des Projekts werden zwei öffentliche Diskussionsveranstaltungen durchgeführt, TeilnehmerInnen wird ein Factsheet zur Verfügung gestellt, das wichtige Informationen und Daten zum Thema zusammenfasst. Themenspezifisch werden jeweils ausgewiesene ExpertInnen bzw. hochrangige VertreterInnen internationaler Organisationen, der Zivilgesellschaft und Wissenschaft sowie staatlicher Institutionen eingeladen. Begleitende Medienarbeit (Print, Radio, Web) ist vorgesehen.


Context


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 31.500,- mit EUR 25.000,- (79,37%) bei einer Laufzeit von 12 Monaten gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
