Overall goal


Die Regionalstelle Südwind NÖ in St. Pölten ist seit vielen Jahren einer der wichtigen Akteure in der entwicklungspolitischen Bildungs- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit in Niederösterreich. Sie hat in den letzten Jahren vor allem in den Themenbereichen Gender und Empowerment von Frauen, Ernährungssicherung, Landwirtschaft und nachhaltige Entwicklung inhaltliche Kompetenz aufgebaut. International aktuelle Themen wie die Millennium Development Goals und internationale Anlässe (z. B. Welternährungstag) bilden ebenfalls Anknüpfungspunkte für Veranstaltungen. Zur Stärkung des regionalen, interkulturellen Dialogs setzt die Regionalstelle weitere Initiativen zum Schwerpunkt Orient.


Das Jahresprogramm von Südwind NÖ gliedert sich in zwei so genannte Kernbereiche: Der Bereich "Globales Lernen - Regionale entwicklungspolitische Bildungsarbeit" beinhaltet ein Basisangebot mit Infothek, Workshops für die schulische Bildungsarbeit, ein Weiterbildungsangebot für LehrerInnen und regionale Bildungsprojekte zur Förderung des Fairen Handels und des Interkulturellen Dialogs. Der zweite Bereich ist 2007 dem spezifischen regionalen Schwerpunktthema "Globalisierungsprozesse: Analysen und Perspektiven" gewidmet (mit Informations- und Bildungsveranstaltungen zu den MDGs, zum Thema Landwirtschaft und zu Friedenssicherung/ Konfliktprävention, Fact Sheets und regionaler Öffentlichkeitsarbeit).


Das Programm ist regional gut verankert, es besteht eine breite Kooperationsbasis (z. B. Land NÖ, PIs Baden und Hollabrunn, Weltladen St. Pölten). Überregional arbeitet Südwind NÖ v. a. mit anderen Südwind Stellen, WIDE, Welthaus, Mattersburger Kreis zusammen.

Vorrangige Zielgruppen sind SchülerInnen und LehrerInnen, MultiplikatorInnen der Erwachsenenbildung und Jugendarbeit, Studierende, Interessierte aus den Bereichen Entwicklungs-, Umwelt- und Frauenpolitik.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 115.900,00 in der Höhe von EUR 57.900,00 (49,96 %) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
