Der Kulturverein PARNASS steht ganz im Zeichen der orientalischen Erzählkunst. Die Erzählabende und Workshops von Parvis Mamnun geben einen Einblick in die Philosophie und Poesie des Orients und verstehen sich als ein Beitrag zur Völkerverständigung. 2006 feiert der Verein sein 15-jähriges Bestehen mit der Herausgabe einer Jubiläumsbroschüre und drei Erzählabenden in Wien.

Das geplante Jubiläumsprogramm setzt sich aus dem bestehenden Erzählprogramm "Geschichten aus Orient & Okzident", Ausschnitten aus dem persischen Epos "Legende der Liebe" (mit einer Nachdichtung von Barbara Frischmuth) und "Die besten Sufi-Geschichten", Weisheiten der islamischen Mystik zusammen. Die Veranstaltungen finden im Interkulttheater und Palais Eschenbach in Wien statt.

Die geplante Broschüre enthält Beiträge zur Erzählkunst und zur Rolle von Märchen und Geschichten als Brücke zur Verständigung der Kulturen. Prominente Personen aus Politik, Kunst und Kultur sollen zum Thema Ost-West-Dialog, Begegnung, Literatur zu Wort kommen.

Ein wichtiger Aspekt der Kulturaktivitäten von PARNASS rund um orientalische Erzählkunst und Poesie ist, dass sie eine entpolitisierte Ebene der Kommunikation und Begegnung eröffnen. Es wird ein positives Bild einer Region gezeigt, welche oft nur im Zusammenhang von Krieg und Bedrohung wahrgenommen wird.


Es wird für die Produktion der Broschüre (Zuschuss) in der Höhe von EUR 1.500,- aus OEZA-Mitteln gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
