Overall goal


Der Verein für Geschichte und Sozialkunde (VGS) besteht seit 1971 und gibt die Vierteljahreszeitschrift "Beiträge zur historischen Sozialkunde" heraus. Zielgruppe dieser Zeitschrift sind LehrerInnen und Studierende der Geschichte sowie benachbarter Fachrichtungen. Der vorliegende Band erscheint im Promedia Verlag in der Reihe "Edition Weltregionen", welche vom VGS betreut wird. Aufgrund seines internationalen Renommees gelingt es dem VGS auch ausländische WissenschafterInnen unter vergleichbar günstigen Bedingungen zur Mitarbeit zu gewinnen.


Dieser Reader beschreibt soziale, wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Entwicklungszusammenhänge in Zentralasien. Hauptzielgruppe sind vorwiegend Studierende und Lehrende aus verschiedenen Bereichen der Geistes-, Kultur-, Sozial- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften sowie an außereuropäischen Entwicklungsfragen interessierte LeserInnen.


Über das Ringvorlesungskonzept wird es möglich, auch renommierte WissenschafterInnen aus dem Ausland für Buchbeiträge zu gewinnen. Von Seiten der Studierenden und Lehrenden wurde dieses Konzept bis dato positiv aufgenommen. Der Reader fördert das Verständnis von globalen Zusammenhängen und Interdependenzen und entspricht damit einem wichtigen inhaltlichen Kriterium des Förderprogramms für die entwicklungspolitische Informations-, Bildungs-, Kultur- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit der OEZA. Die vorgeschlagenen Vertriebsmaßnahmen sind vielfältig, haben sich bisher bewährt und erreichen die beabsichtigte Zielgruppe.


Es wird um eine Förderung aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 2.200,00 (17,18 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) angesucht.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
