Overall goal


Das Ziel des vorgeschlagenen Projektes ist die strategische Aufwertung der Themen Unternehmensverantwortung (CSR) und nachhaltige Entwicklung auf unternehmerischer, politischer und gesellschaftlicher Ebene. Besondere Bedeutung, als global gültiger Zielrahmen, nehmen in diesem Zusammenhang die Sustainable Development Goals ein.


Expected results


Mit den Maßnahmen des Projektes wird ein Paradigmenwechsel angestrebt. Die Bedeutung von CSR, nachhaltiger Entwicklung und den Sustainable Development Goals soll weiter in die Mitte der Gesellschaft getragen werden. Eine gemeinsame Bewegung von Vertretern der Politik, Wirtschaft und Zivilgesellschaft wird forciert und deren Entwicklungen möglichst international koordiniert. Mindestens sechs neue, aktiv an den Veranstaltungen teilnehmende nicht-privatwirtschaftlichen Teilnehmerorganisationen treten dem Global Compact Netzwerk bei.

Eine Arbeitsgruppe Berichterstattung zum Erfahrungsaustausch der Unternehmen wird mit durchschnittlich zumindest 15 TeilnehmerInnen fortgeführt.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Die Hauptzielgruppe unserer Aktivitäten ist der Privatsektor, das sind potentiell 50.000 österreichische Unternehemen.


Activities


• Es werden Unternehmen im strategischen Umgang mit den Sustainable Development Goals unterstützt.

• Internationalen Kontakte werden genutzt, um dem österreichischen Privatsektor Know-How und Good Practice-Beispiele aus der ganzen Welt zur Verfügung zu stellen.

• Es werden Plattformen für Austausch und Kommunikation angeboten.

 


Context


Der United Nations Global Compact feierte 2015 sein 15-jähriges Bestehen und zählt mittlerweile insgesamt mehr als 13.000 Teilnehmer. Unterzeichner des Global Compact sind in mehr als 80% der Länder zu finden. Lokale Netzwerke wurden in mehr als 85 Ländern gegründet. Sie sorgen für die Umsetzung der 10 Prinzipien auf nationaler Ebene und treiben die SDGs voran. Damit handelt es sich um die größte CSR-Initiative weltweit.

  • Policy marker: are used to identify, assess and facilitate the monitoring of activities in support of policy objectives concerning gender equality, aid to environment, participatory development/good governance, trade development and reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health. Activities targeting the objectives of the Rio Conventions include the identification of biodiversity, climate change mitigation, climate change adaptation, and desertification.

    • BMLFUW - Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water
    • EU - Funds of the European Commission
    • Others - various other donors are listed in ADA’s annual business report.
  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
