Das ÖRK liefert 10 Stk. Interagency Emergency Healthkits (IEHK) zum weiteren Transport in den Nordirak.


Der IEHK ist eine standardisierte Zusammenstellung von Medikamenten, Medizinprodukten und zugehöriger Ausrüstung und kommt bei Katastrophen und Notsituationen großen Ausmaßes zum Einsatz. Ziel ist die schnelle Bereitstellung einer Basisgesundheitsversorgung für bis zu 10.000 Menschen pro Kit für 3 Monate, d.h. insgesamt können mit dieser Hilfslieferung von 10 IEHKs bis zu 100.000 Menschen im Nordirak erreicht und medizinisch versorgt werden.


Ein IEHK besteht aus Basiseinheiten (Basic Units) mit u. a. Schmerzmitteln, Antibiotika, Verbandszeug, Sterilisationsmitteln und chirurgischer Grundausrüstung. Die Behandlungsmöglichkeiten, die eine Basiseinheit bietet, orientieren sich dabei an Gesundheitspersonal mit eingeschränkter Ausbildung. Die Größe der Basiseinheiten innerhalb der IEHK ermöglicht deren einfachen Transport und deren Verteilung an kleine Gesundheitsstationen. Neben den Basiseinheiten enthält jeder Kit darüber hinaus eine Ergänzungseinheit (Supplementary Unit), u. a. mit Schnelltests zum Nachweis diverser Krankheiten. Die Anwendung der Ergänzungseinheit ist Äzten und Pflegekräften mit professioneller Ausbildung vorbehalten.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
