Overall goal


Stärkung von Kapazitäten in ländlicher Entwicklung - ist die Fortführung des ländlichen Entwicklungsprogramms, das Jugend Eine Welt gemeinsam mit seinen Don Bosco Partnern in Nepal und Mosambik durchführt. Mit einem weitreichenden Ausbildungsprogramm, gezielten Trainingsmaßnahmen und der Etablierung von Modelleinrichtungen und Demonstrationsflächen werden Bauern und Bäuerinnen unterstützt, Gemüseanbau, Kultivierung von Früchten und Viehzucht zu intensivieren, mit neuen Produktions- und Verarbeitungsmethoden zu experimentieren und die Marktorientierung zu stärken. Dadurch kann zusätzliches Einkommen generiert werden. Die Aktivitäten konzentrieren sich auf folgende Bereiche: Stärkung der Selbsthilfefähigkeit lokaler Dorfgemeinschaften durch Organisation und Aufbau kommunaler Entwicklungs- und Spargruppen; Trainings in alternativen Methoden der Landwirtschaft und Viehzucht sowie marketingfördernde Aktivitäten; Stärkung der individuellen und institutionellen Fähigkeiten der Partnerorganisationen/Organisationsentwicklung; Nutzung erneuerbarer Energien als Pilotkomponente sowie übergreifendes Wissensmanagement aus den Erfahrungen der beiden Programminterventionen. Die Zusammenführung dieses Wissens erfolgt über die regelmäßige Dokumentation auf der Website sowie durch einen Lern- und Austauschworkshop in Österreich. Zielgruppe sind rund 2000 Familien in ländlichen Gebieten Nepals und Mosambiks.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
