Overall goal


Projektziele: Unterstützung friedlicher Konfliktlösung, Reintegration, Sicherstellung der Partizipationsmöglichkeit der Bevölkerung in zwei Sub-counties der Distrikte Pader und Amuru an Planung und Steuerung des Wiederaufbauprozesses.


Zielgruppen: Community-based Organisationen (CBOs) der Sub-counties in Pader und Amuru, VertreterInnen des Ältestensrates der Acholi, bereits zurückgekehrte, zurückkehrende und während des Konflikts in den Herkunftsdörfern gebliebenen Bevölkerung, VertreterInnen der Lokalregierung


Erwartete Resultate:

1.) In den 2 Sub-counties wurden Kapazitäten für Friedensförderung über Capacity-building für lokale CBOs und über den Aufbau von Friedenskomitees gestärkt und ausgebaut.

2.) Unterstützt durch ACORD und UWOPA, haben die Friedenskomitees mit den lokalen Organisationen soziale Verträge mit der Bevölkerung erarbeitet und abgeschlossen, haben regelmäßig Fortschritte, Probleme und notwendige Schritte für die Förderung sozialen Friedens auf lokaler Ebene mit der Bevölkerung analysiert, mit der Bevölkerung Mikroprojekte zur Friedensförderung entworfen und bei der Durchführung begleitet, bei Konfliktfällen als MediatorInnen agiert, sowie Erfahrungen und Anliegen der Bevölkerung für weiteres Advocacy eruiert.

3.) In Zusammenarbeit mit den Friedenskomitees wurden die Erfahrungen durch ACORD und UWOPA für Advocacy aufbereitet und gemeinsam mit den Friedenskomitees und lokalen Autoritäten auf Ebene von zivilgesellschaftlichen Foren und Netzwerken sowie durch UWOPA in politischer, insbesondere parlamentarischer Arbeit weiterverfolgt.

4.) Durch 4 Austauschbesuche in andere Distrikte in Norduganda und Südlichem Uganda, Medien- und Advocacy Arbeit sowie Versammlungen der Parlamentsabgeordneten mit der lokalen Bevölkerung wurden die Anliegen und Bedürfnisse der Bevölkerung Nordugandas zentraler positioniert, Vorurteile und regionale Ressentiments verringert und überregionale Allianzen aufgebaut.
