Ziel des Projekts ist die nachhaltige Kapazitätenentwicklung zum Thema Viehhaltung bei 260 Farmergruppen in 10 Distrikten Nepals.


4.500 Viehzüchter werden ihr Fachwissen mittels innovativer Methoden (IT basiert und in verschiedenen Ländern bereits etabliert) verbessern und nachhaltig davon profitieren:

- 20 % Steigerung bei der Milchproduktion (Kuh, Büffel)

- 10 % Steigerung bei der Fleischproduktion (Ziege, Schwein)

- durchschnittliche Einkommenssteigerung 30 %


Um diese Ziele zu erreichen, sind folgende Maßnahmen geplant:

1. Anpassung bestehender Unterrichtsmittel an lokale Bedürfnisse bezüglich Fütterung, Ställe, Hygiene, Tiergesundheit, Bodenbeschaffenheit, Züchtung, Marktinformationen

2. Distribution von digitalem Lernmaterial und Training der Farmer in Kooperation mit 8 lokalen NGOs

3. Projektrevision und -expansion (Ergebnismessung auf Basis eines Monitoring- und Evaluierungsplans, Revision des Unterrichtsmaterials, Entwicklung eines Finanzierungsplans, Businessplan für die Integration von weiteren 500 Farmergruppen in das Projekt)


AgriHolland hat sich auf die Entwicklung, Verbreitung und das Management von digitaler Information und Unterrichtsmaterial für die Landwirtschaft spezialisiert. MIDAS ist ein IT Unternehmen, das bisher vor allem Inhalte für den Schulunterricht mittels PCs und Tablets aufbereitet und in Nepal vertrieben hat. Durch die Kooperation mit AgriHolland wird das lokale Netzwerk von Midas genutzt um die Kapazitätenentwicklung auf Viehzüchter (überwiegend Frauen) auszuweiten.

Damit wird eines der Hauptprobleme Nepals bekämpft: die geringe landwirtschaftliche Produktivität – insbesondere der Viehzucht.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
