Experiencing Europe: "Serbian Young Professionals in Austria - Zoran Djindjic Internship Programme" ist eine Kooperation des Zoran Djindjic Fonds mit der Österreichischen Entwicklungs- und Ostzusammenarbeit (OEZA) und wird von WUS Austria durchgeführt. Die OEZA stellte der "Zoran Djindjic Stiftung" einen Betrag von 206.500 Euro zur Verfügung. Mit diesem Betrag unterstützt die OEZA eine Institution, welche als Symbol für ein demokratisches und offenes Serbien fungiert. Finanziert wird ein konkretes Projekt, welches zum Ziel hat, jungen, qualifizierten Menschen aus Serbien durch verbesserte arbeitsmarktrelevante Ausbildung bessere Zukunftschancen zu eröffnen.

25 ausgewählte junge SerbInnen werden für zwei Wochen nach Österreich eingeladen, wo sie einen Intensivkurs zum Thema "European and Austrian Studies" sowie einen intensiven Sprachkurs (für die meisten der Aktualisierung ihrer Sprachkenntnisse dienend) absolvieren.

Aufgrund der großen Nachfrage nach Praktikaplätzen in Serbien und das aktive Engagenment der WKÖ und österreichischer. Unternehmen konnten nicht 25 Praktikaplätze, wie ursprünglich geplant, in Österreich zur Verfügung gestellt werden, sondern insgesamt 43. Dem Projekt kommt hohe außenpolitische Bedeutung bei, da Österreich eine Institution untersstützt, welche als Symbol für ein demokratisches und nach Europa orientiertes Serbien fungiert. Ferner findet das Vorhaben aktive Unterstützung durch Außenministerin Dr. Plassnik, welche persönlich alle 43 PraktikantInnen im September 2007 in Wien empfangen hat. Der serbische Präsident Tadic wiederum unterstützt das Vorhaben in Serbien. Das Projekt reiht sich in eine Reihe von Bemühungen, die europäische Integration Serbiens von öst. Seite zu unterstützen.
