Beitrag zum Network Conflict Prevention and Development Cooperation (CPDC ) der OECD
Kurzbeschreibung:
Projektziel
The DAC, through its Network on Conflict, Peace and Development Co-operation, strives to improve the effectiveness of development co-operation and the coherence of Members' policies by promoting the principles and agreements in the DAC conflict prevention and peace-building policy guidance and statements, including the Helping Prevent Violent Conflict guidelines. The Network enhances bilateral and multilateral donors' work with developing country actors - especially in fragile, difficult, conflict-affected and/or conflict-prone countries - to promote structural stability and peace, prevent and manage violent conflict, and provide relief and reconstruction assistance in crises.
The 3 areas prioritised in the work plan 2005/2006 for the network are:
1) mainstreaming conflict prevention and peace building approaches in donor governments and organisations,
2) working with regional organisations and partners countries on conflict, peace and security
3) responding to crisis countries and to new and emerging issues.
These themes are of great importance for the Austrian Development Cooperation. By supporting the CPDC the ADC benefits from the output of the working groups and is also involved in the on going discussion. Austria as member of the working group wants to contribute to the CPDC Programme Work Plan 2005/2006 an amount of ¿ 70.000
