Kurzbeschreibung:
Projektziel
Addendum to: ADC Contract No. 2754-01/1014
Due to the ongoing need to support the recovery of agriculture and people’s livelihoods in the Balkans, in the aftermath of the devastating floods which hit the region in May 2014, ADA has decided to make available additional funding for the flood response. Thus, the project “Restoring Food and Income Security for Flood Vicitms”, implemented by World Vision, is hereby awarded an additional grant of EUR 100,000. The maximum amount of the total grant for this project thus is EUR 350,000.00.
Originally the project target has been restoring and sustaining the food and income security of 1.760 flood-affected vulnerable farming households (around 6.160 individuals) through providing them with productive livestock as well as seeds, seedlings and fertilizer to re-cultivate 625 ha of land.
With the additional funding, it will now be possible to support the agricultural needs of an additional 248 subsistence farmers (around 992 individuals) within the originally targeted areas through provision of:
155 additional livestock, 6.460 rasperry seedlings, 16.071 kg fertilizer and covering price increases of 42.460 berry seedlings and 128 beehives.
Therefore a total of 2.008 most vulnerable farming households (around 7.028 individuals) will benefit from the support of this ADC funded project.
