Support to Integrated Community Mine Action Plans in Bosnia Herzegowina
Kurzbeschreibung:
Projektziel
The project supports realisation of the "Integrated Community Mine Action Plan Podzeplje" and the "Integrated Community Mine Action Plan Jezestica" in Bosnia-Herzegowina. By realising a series of demining and surveying projects, the released and marked land will assist the reconstruction and economic recovery process in the respective regions. The sub-projects are structured as follows:
During the total general survey in the area of Podzeplje in 2004 and 2005, 13 demining and technical survey projects were recognized and until now 5 already have been realised. The present situation with prepared but not realised projects includes 4 projects for mine clearance (a total of 76.470 m2) and 4 technical survey projects (a total of 184.290 m2). The Austrian contribution will support implementation of these still unrealised projects.
In course of a total general survey in the area of Jezestica, 12 risk areas were defined and 2 areas marked without visible risk. These results provide the backdrop for the preparation of 5 projects for clearance (total 76.918 m2), 5 for technical survey (total 156.460 m2), and 2 projects for permanent marking (total 156.500 m2).
